Vintage 1984 Tomy Verbot W/ Original Box & Instructions and Remote

Vintage Verbot with original box instructions and remote. I’m not sure if it works, when you put batteries and turn it on, the light lights up, but nothing happens when you push the buttons on it. I cant test the remote because I dont have the right kind of battery for it.
The robotis 8″ tall.
